Celise + Roz Goo Core?

So yeah, I was thinking that Celise is the first obtainable follower, but has a much less variety in interactions unlike others like Anno, and it would be great to have her own storyline, or at least some development, since she has no extended talk options right now, but having been the concubine of Victor Steele, could tell PC about him, and stuff, which could just be lore, or can lead to something else.

The Goo Core obtained from Roz that you can equip as an accessory if PC has goo body for stat buffs says in the flavortext that it makes Galotians smarter. Roz and Celise are both Galotians. The logical conclusion would be, it would be possible to be given to Celise, to make her smarter, perhaps extend her talk options. And it would be cool if that option was there in-game, even if it doesn't do much and we're simply told she's smarter now, I guess.

If anybody wants to take the idea and go with it, feel free. Otherwise, I'm willing to write it myself, except I find the option itself cool, but I don't really know what to do with a smarter Celise. Feedback appreciated, and suggestions.

I agree that cumdump is essentially role she fills right now, but that could be changed, there have been far more mental and physical TFs, and considering the whole game is mostly TFs and sex, it'd fit right in, heh.

I disagree though, that it's pointless even if it might not provide a purpose in sex options, but also that it's not pointless for sex since some are more attracted to smarter people than constantly libidinous crew members (no judging though, those are fun builds too). It's less even about Celise, it's more about the world being internally consistent such that it is logical, that if PC comes across an item that could make one of their crew smarter according to lore, they should be able to use it, because they likely would (unless they are gathering a harem of mind broken bimbos Dr. Badger would be proud of). It's less about Celise, more about lore being Goo Core + Galotian = Smart Galotian, is now firmly established (unless retconned) and now I can't get my mind off the fact I have an item that could make my crew's resident Galotian smarter, technically, but it's not written in. It would make the game more immersive, and the work to be done is less since it utilizes existing lore, characters and items, and now a matter of tying it all together.

What to do with a smart Celise though? She was Victor Steele's concubine (well, one of them at least) and knew him personally, which could come to play with some extra talking points and such, or changes in mannerisms and speech, or behavior. And maybe, she can finally stop being the only crew member other than my pet Varmint of all things, that has no talking options, despite being the first follower obtainable.

I get the feeling Celise was built purely as a "gateway" NPC. She gives you your first taste of physical and lust-based combat and is the first NPC you can recruit as a crewmember. She's also, IIRC, the first NPC available to take Steele's virginity. Other than being a sexable companion, that's pretty much her usefulness as envisioned and designed in a nutshell. Mission Accomplished.

Having said that, however, I do see potential in the expansion of her role. Having been a concubine of Victor Steele, she may be privy to sekrits, the mere existence of which even she's not aware. Implanting the Goo Core could boot up a recall of the info needed to find and/or open a ST Probe. Maybe Jack/Jill abducts Celise just after implantation and Steele has to recover/save her. This could even lead to a possible moral quandary: do you save Celise 2.0 but lose the widget, or do you save the widget but lose (literally/metaphorically) Celise in the process?

I think this idea actually has a lot of potential.

According to the Codex, Galotians don't age at all and are hard to kill. Given that Victor Steele seemed to be trying to recreate the circumstances of his Rush with yours, like how he gives you the same ship he used, I think it's likely he met Celise before or at the start of his rush and that she was his first crew member. If that's the case, not only does she have 200 years worth of stories about Victor to tell you, it means she witnessed his adventure through the Rush firsthand.

Even more than that though, the Galotian homeworld was discovered during the second planet rush. That means it's entirely possible that Celise has been bouncing around the galaxy for over 2400 years! That's a lot of time to potentially pick up knowledge or skills, and even if she just spent all that time as different people's concubine that's still a lot of different, possibly famous, people she might have met. Think of all the historical events she might have lived through too. What if Victor's Rush wasn't even her first one? Imagine if she's been on the crew of a Rusher's ship for every one of them since her planet was discovered. That's how she met Victor Steele when he was still a nobody and that's why she offered to join your crew. Maybe she's the Galotian equivalent of an adventurer, choosing to be the ship cumdump for crews of daring smugglers and dashing frontier explorers instead of just on some long-haul space freighter or rich yuppie's pleasure yacht.

Of course just because Galotians live forever doesn't mean they have infinite memory capacity, which means if Celise is that old she's probably forgotten a lot of her older memories. That's where the goo core comes in, sharpening her mind and allowing her to recall forgotten memories from lifetimes ago that were buried in her subconscious. Depending on what those memories are you could do all sorts of different things with Celise as a character.

You could even find more goo cores for her if you wanted to, maybe you meet an NPC who can turn the Picardine crystals you find into custom goo cores for Celise, letting you customize how intelligent you want her personality to be. According to Kally's dialogue about meeting Galos, the queen of the Galotians, she was much smarter that she expected and "has an absolute fortune in gemstones floating inside her" implying that one Galotian can carry a lot of goo cores and that the intelligence boost from them stacks.

I could even imagine a humorous Bad End where you accidentally give Celise too many (or some kind of cracked/corrupted) goo cores that turn her into some sort of super intelligent megalomaniacal cum fiend bent on enslaving the galaxy to feed her hunger, starting with you and your crew.
