Can't load any saves

Been trying to get into this now that the second is on the way and can't get any save files to work at all. The moment I close a browser (ff or chrome) local files disappear, while trying to load files simply doesn't load anything. Save files are in the same folder as the swf file. Anyone go through this and find a way to get it working?

Having the same problems, I have the game stored in a folder in documents, and I save to file in the same folder, but when I open the game and then click load from file, even when I click the file it doesn't load.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by getting a standalone Flash player. Adobe has a few different versions (listed at https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/debug_downloads.html#lcu , a short way down the page), but the one you want is the "Flash Player projector". The save file and load file functions work, but the regular save and load don't survive restarting the program.
