Cannot give Lerris transformatives

On a new game started in JS port.

After First14, when I get to Tavros ans meet Lerris.

After exhausting talk topics, and having had sex with all options, the [Item] option shows up, but it doesn't seem to recognize any of the transformatives listed on the wiki. The option stays disabled.
