Cannot equip anything in clothing slot?

I can't seem to equip anything in my clothing slot, every other slot (undergarments, weapon) etc. is fine, but any clothing items says, "You can't equip this item". It wasn't much of an issue but now I'm at the SpaceWalk part on Zheng Shi and I can't equip the pirate spacesuit.

Any fix to this? Thanks!

Actually I just figured it out by showering ingame if anyone else has this issue, thanks for the help anyways!

It's possible you had the Painted status effect from the Pollen Festival.
