Can i customize icon/images for the other characters?

I know you can change the icon for the main character, but is it possible to do stuff like this for the other characters? some of them look ok but i really don't like the art available for the majority, i really want to put art of my own liking but couldn't find any way to do it.

The only way I can think of would be to manually replace the images in the game's files while keeping the original file names, but messing with the game's files like that comes with the potential to break something. I haven't tried this myself (and I never will), so I can't confirm that it'll work.

Thank you, it works and no apparent crashes so far, although it is a chore to have to change the files one by one.
