Hey folks,

On the Wiki section about Ara Kei's diplomacy mission, there's this sentence: "If Steele has high enough Intelligence, they may be able to directly skip this process and have the quadomme agree to attend the summit." How much Intelligence is needed for this, and how specifically do I go about pursuing this option?

I'm not interested in having my Steele get oviposit-ed(?), and I don't want to trick another person into getting stuffed full of eggs. But every time I've gone down there and encountered the Quadommes, with Intelligence of 45 or more out of 60 max, it's always just been "I'll attend the summit if you let me put eggs in you. Okay, you can go get someone else for me to put eggs in instead." with no options to do anything different. I've tried both before and after getting the counteragent.

I have just realized that there is an option to fight the Quadommes, but I just assumed that wouldn't work considering the option that involves discussing eggs is labelled "Diplomacy", which is the thing we're trying to do. Did I just have to win a fight against them this whole time, or do I need to be smarter, or is the non-egg approach something that used to be in the game but got removed or something?

The requirements are pretty high, and (for the most part) are even higher if you got stuck in their web:
  • If you didn't, it's 82% or more for a 1/2 success rate, and 95% or more to guarantee success.
  • If you did, it's 90% or more for 2/3 success rate, and 100% to guarantee success.
Note that if your Intelligence is at least 90% of its max but strictly less than 95%, getting stuck actually gives you a higher chance of convincing them; if your Intelligence is maxed out, you're guaranteed to succeed regardless of whether you get stuck or not.

Fighting them won't change their mind on whether or not they'll attend; to convince them, either you need to be very intelligent, or someone needs to get egged. (This works the other way, too; if you convince them and fight them afterwards, they'll still go to the summit regardless.)
