It goes like this: i start a new game, choose a wyld elf, name them Farsi, give them bun ears, 82in height, shemale, biggest breast and cock size that are offered, give her a thick build, blue hair, blue eyes, dusky skin, make her a noble scion thief, with the Breeder perk, and....

Nothing. When i try to get to the accepting my characters creation, it's blank, no text. The rest of it is there, the squares where yes/no, nesw, inventory, etc are there, but nothing else. And it's only with this build version (0.3.39) because my partner has an earlier version, and doesn't have the issue.

I just tried making a character with the exact same things you picked, but it worked fine. Have you made sure you downloaded the latest version of this build? This may have been an issue that was fixed with a hotfix.

As i said, this is build 0.3.39
I may just uninstall and reinstall the game itself to see if that fixes it, but i got it three or four times, including when i went back from a working cc acceptance screen and redid my choices to those exact ones.

Hotfixes don't change the build number. Your version can still be an old one even if the number is the same.

Yes, but if i went to download a hotfix it would be considered a different file, not the exact same file i had downloaded already. Hotfixes are also posted about on the Patreon, which I haven't recieved a notification for

Hotfix files use the exact same name as the original one so you can't tell the difference that way. And they don't always get Patreon posts either; this hotfix did not. Download the game again and see if the problem persists for you.

In this case, it literally says on the front page that there's a hotfix out, in the title and in the patch notes. It would take minimal effort to just double check when someone suggests there's a hotfix out and you might want to check and redownload if necessary.

Hmm, I think there are / were multiple hot-fixes, due in part to the initial download I did being the initial hot-fix patch, but then checking the forums resulted in me finding this around 3 hours later (unless that post was referring to the exact same hot-fix somehow ? - although it is likely that I didn't look at the change-log closely enough at the time of downloading, so that could explain the discrepancy).

So yeah, regardless of whether there are / were multiple hot-fixes it doesn't change the premise that not having that reflected in-game does make it a bit challenging for the players - whether you claim it to be minimal effort or not to double check - it can still lead to confusion and misunderstanding.
Instead of having everyone re-download the game multiple times and being unsure of if they have the hot-fix or not (unless their playing via steam or playing through the website) I think the suggestion I posted on this thread should suffice.
