More of a lore question than anything else, but given the ties their craft has to Wraiths, why aren't the practitioners of Black Magic persecuted or at least mistrusted?

Unlike priests with their magic coming from the gods and witches and wisemen who had probably been a part of every Savarran society for ages, Black Mages are relatively new and unlikely to be useful for anything besides conflict.


Also, tangentially related, followers of which deity of the pantheon, if any, can in theory be zelous witch hunting types? And how welcome would content that involves sexy version of such folks be?

They probably are in most of the world, but just bullying the PC in every other interaction cuz you want to do magic damage is Not Fun and so we don't generally do it. You'll note that most powerful practitioners of black magic, like Viv and Evergreen, and weirdos that don't live in normal society.

And then there's Ivris but she's a perfectly innocent alchemist...
