Black Mage Weapons Help

Hey all I'm currently tackling building a black mage/aracanist for fun, and I noticed that the magic wand you can buy early on is actually a offhand item for spells I"m guessing. I was just reaching out out of curiosity to see if there are any mage oriented main handed weapons that also help spells or if I should just ditch the wand and go for a staff or something. I vaguely remember a couple of items you get from Berwynne (might be spelling that wrong) quest, but yeah just asking if there are any like mage oriented weapons or items I should be keeping an eye out for.

There are a few. You may already have found the Sanctified Gladius. There's a really good one (+15 to both Spellpower and SpellPen) but it's not easily or always accessible.

The Spiraled Staff you get from that quest you mentioned is the go-to caster weapon.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll keep an eye out for them. For now I'm using a Metal wand for default attacks with a mage wand for some spell boosting with a wizard's ring. But I'll keep an eye out for those!
