Black Mage Advice/Recommendations. ^^

Hi. ^^ Have played the original CoC and TiTs before making this account but still relatively new to CoC 2...

Was curious about any advice for a Black Mage in general? Always loved the Dark/Forbidden Magic Warlock types lol. At least Grease + Fireball seems to work rather well but I get the odd fight where I will suddenly end up in the critical health or saved only due to having Cait with her Witch Gear to heal back.

With loads of summons as well I am unsure what would be best to use, I recently unlocked the Flame Knight/Dancer which I assume one is a Tank and the other a Support/Buff? Mainly been using the Flame Spirit but also Kiyoko. Unlocking new companion sets as well and finding out they summon things has also questioned if I should be running different builds/party members. >.<

Greaseball is a very solid combo and will generally remain useful for most encounters, but you'll need to be careful with timing against enemies who get multiple turns in a round if you want to actually pull off the combo. current strongest mage build?

It's been awhile since I last asked this and I've moved on to a thief build that I like. But I still like the theme of a powerful mage MC. So what's the current strongest offensive mage build? Offensive cause I'm trying to end fights as soon as I can.

Best equipment/spells for a black mage?

I've been running a barbarian for most of my games so far and I want to switch it up with playing a black mage so I just want to tip for playing it. Like what equipment should I use and what your favorite spells to run are? Bear in mind I'm sure theirs no perfect way to run a black mage build...
