I was wondering, what kind of backstories everyone gives to their characters in a addition to the backstory in the game?

My main Steele refuses to take any TFs, having seen what happened to Victor and not wanting the same to happen to him.
While his relationship with Victor was good, he was also a little unnerved to find out that Victor had so many bastards and yet decided to have him as the heir. Which is why my Steele won't have as many kids as Victor.

My character is a half kaithrit, and my headcanon is that Vic wanted his daughter to be prepared for everything and anything, so Vic taut her everything he knows, like multiple languages, how to fight etc., Vics daughter studied her ass off, even when she was in middle school, at that time Vic told her about his business, she adored her father, and always wanted to be like Vic, so she studied all forms of science, history, business etc., i also like to think other female of other species develop at a much younger age, so in high school she was more developed than all the other girls in school, so she made a lot of heads turn, guys and girls alike, at this point Steele had a crush on a boy, but he ended up betraying her by having a group of his friends try and rape her but thanks to vics self defense lessons, she fought back by hitting one of them in the nuts, and the others started beating on her all at the same time, was soon as she fought back, they ganged up on her and overpowered her, but she managed to get the nut shots in, hitting them hard enough to put them into the hospital, Vic pressed charges against the school since Steele ended up in the hospital as well, and she didn’t talk or do anything for 6 months, after she was getting better, she decided that she was done with boys, since Steele admitted to Vic that she was into girls and guys, Vic was in the process of transferring Steele to another school, when Steele started to want her mother, but Vic didn’t tell her where she is, so this was the first time that she was angry at Vic, but Vic always stayed positive through this, because he understood why, so he didn’t hold it against her, as Steele started the all girls school, she quickly became popular, in using the Steele family talent in pleasing woman, all the while studying at home, Steele started to partake in sports and graduated with honors, and after that, the rush starts, and Steele becomes a mercenary

A little backstory I made up for my main is that he met a Grayvain tech during one of Victor's 'tame' parties (as in, kids were there) and was blown away by the control she had over her drones. Little Adam wanted to be that cool one day.

William wrote some interesting stuff about the jobs you could pick during the Bianca bar talks. Smuggler is the best story by a country mile.

Edit: Also, little Steele was always in fairly controlled circumstances, thus explaining why they're still a virgin at the start of the probe quest. That explanation falls apart for smugglers though.

Business before pleasure!

I think you might be the first person to comment on one of these options haha. I agree, I think that one worked out for the best.

Pfft, if that were true, how come my Steele has got like 130 kids and only four probes! :p

Or the unholy Meadow with five digit numbers of little kiddies. (I know, I know the real reason is that the rest of the probes are WIP and Meadow is a bright warning sign that maybe you should dial back on the coffee and take a walk outside) But seriously, the speed in which Steele can check in their v-card is astonishing from an out of universe perspective.

Rather than Victor deliberately aiming to raise his child a certain way, my Isabel Steele chose to not only be a bookworm (despite her genetic predisposition towards high reflexes), but also to tinker with stuff and make gadgets, which Victor encouraged after the fact. Her prodigious intelligence caused her to be accelerated through her education, causing her to graduate from high school at 12 and from the most prestigious engineering university on Terra at 15. The thing is, being a half-gryvain meant she grew a lot taller than other kids her age, which caused a lot of awkwardness for her when some of her older classmates who were ignorant of her true age started flirting with her. This kind of put her off sex, which she didn't fully get over until the Stellar Tether, but that's a different story.
After getting her engineering degree with honours, she joined the workforce pretty much immediately, becoming a highly accomplished Tech Specialist. When she quit due to Victor's death, her boss told her that they'd leave her position open for a while in case she decided to return (which she never did).
She's travelled the core worlds quite a bit, with her parents during vacations while she was still at school/university and as part of her work afterwards. Aside from Terra, she's primarily been to TSC, JAF and GHR worlds, such as Mars, Ausaril and Vendiko (whose atmosphere she can breathe naturally due to her mother's genes). She hasn't been to many of the other race's homeworlds, anywhere inside the Anatae Empire, or any of the core worlds that can be visited during the events of TiTS (aside from Ausaril).

My Steele's story is kind of basic. They've been waiting for the chance to explore the fringes of space, and the Rush was the perfect opportunity. They could honestly care less about taking control of the company, but at the same time they refuse to let their cousin take it from under them. They started off as a human but was interested in seeing how far they could push their genes...for science and the lulz. The Rush is really the best excuse to explore new worlds and the "local delicacies," as well as to stick it to cuz.

My main Steele is a 7 foot Amazon with a heart of gold who lost her mom at a young age. Before she started her adventure she used to love reading about the adventures people had in space in comics and shitty romance novels. The hero saving the damsel and getting the girl and whatnot.

This whole Rush is just a way for her to get out and help the galaxy as much as she can, one person at a time, which is why her ship is getting a bit overcrowded (love the clowncar cheat).

My head cannon:
Victor Steele had an unquenchable thirst for danger, like a gamble addict ,for Victor, taking risks was the ultimate high. This was both the secret of his success as the reason for his undoing. The willingness to take risks introduce him to an impressive number of people, cultures and planets, reward him with copious amount of profit leading to the meteoric ascension of his company, but, at the same time it was also responsible for the uncountable number of mods he took in his life, some which were experimental at the time and for the many relationships he left to rot.

A relationship should be built on trust, love and mutual respect but for Victor Steele every relationship was built on rivalry instead. For him a relationship was a game and nothing less, a game which each part should do whatever it could to get way with the most things possible before moving on to a new and better one. When his health start catching up to him Victor decide to sire a heir before the consequences of a life without consequences took his toll on him, he design MC Steele to be a carbon copy of himself in mind and soul, Victor went as far as genetic engineering MC skills and abilities in hopes that his son would fulfill his own unfulfilled dreams once he passed away. He also sheltered MC from the outside world, homeschooling him and denying him contact with others of his age and even his own mother.

The final nail in the coffin of his master plan came ironically once he passed away, the Casstech Z14, Victor very first ship was the only thing he left for his son. With no choice but to follow the footsteps of a ghost MC Steele is bound to discover not only the vastness of cosmos but himself.

So basically my Steele was born, Vic perfect kid, but he was born prematurely and sickly. But Vic loved him more than anything. The kid grew to be about 5 years old when Vic learned that he was genetically deteriorating due to Vic severely damaged genome. The kid grew sick and eventually passed away. Vic, depressed and distraught had the kid cloned in secret and had its genetic material altered and “fixed” and raised the kid like his own. But he didn’t love it like his original kid. Eventually he grew to hate it, being hard on clone Steele, pawning him off to Bridget whenever they weren’t showing up somewhere publicly. The clone was smart, developed quicker than normal people, excelled at sports and academic. Almost perfect to everyone except Vic. Clone Steele did everything he could to make Vic happy but he never was. Eventually grew up bitter, a bit asshole-ish and rebellious. After he turned 21 he moved off saying he never wanted anything to do with Vic. He left in a rage to try and make something of himself, deep down hoping to make Vic proud. But when he died clone Steele was heartbroken. Never having the chance to impress his father. The will video plays out a little differently. Vic tells him the truth that he’s a clone and that’s why he treated him the way that he did. He says he doesn’t know if he can say he loves clone Steele. But decides that it’s better if he gets the company, as a cheap apology for neglecting him. But he’ll have to earn it yada. So Clone Steele goes off ok the adventure, collecting waifus to try and feel the void of love that he never got from Vic. No matter how many women he slept with, how much they told him they loved him, how much he drank to ease it all. It never helped.
