Alliteration is hard. And I don't mean watersports. (in the fetish sense)
I've only just gotten into this game but I'm definitely finding stuff to enjoy, at least when I'm in the right mood. And since I'm pretty good at writing lots and lots of text about imaginary sex when in the right mood, I was wondering what I could contribute to the game. So maybe I ought to play to my strengths; my obsession with aquatic life of various kinds. I wanted to ask if there's a significant amount of interest among enthusiasts, at least the people who read the Ideas board, for aquatic characters and scenes, even a world to go with it? And any particular ideas I could use as inspiration?
I know that a shark transformation is already in the game, though I haven't tried it out yet and plan to. (and for some reason everyone loves vaguely punk/raver girl sharks) As the name might suggest I also have a thing for mermaids and I think I could write some scenes with them, though a mermaid transformation presents several obvious problems. Orcas, dolphins and other cetaceans are also on the table, and also of course cephalapods present a lot of opportunities. And even plain old underwater sex is a surprisingly common theme.
The exact approach to that might be tricky; the first idea that came to mind was establishing a waterlogged planet, perhaps a tropical paradise planet (like Risa) that's mostly ocean and seemingly lacks local intelligent life, and thus has become a popular destination and home for aquatic races and people who've mutated themselves into aquatic forms. However, there might actually be native inhabitants that are rather tentacular in nature...
(that presents its own problems, or maybe opportunities, in that aquatic adventuring, while not that difficult in a text game medium, means that player characters are going to be at a disadvantage unless they've mutated themselves into an aquatic form or purchase/hire diving equipment, which could come in different forms/ranks. Given me half a chance and I might come up with specific aquatic equipment for every career track because I'm crazy)
If enough people think that's worth the effort, though I imagine any decent content isn't unwelcome, I can put some effort into learning how these things are done and try to write up some decent test scenes. Probably starting with NPCs in existing places to start with.
