Amber Seed (Avian TF) Perks

Hi,
I've recently played with the Amber Seed a bit and now have questions regarding both obtainable perks:

Hollow Bones: What is the benefit of it? The way I see it, the only impact on game mechanics is lower weight = lower carry threshold. Do Steele's weight or the perk by itself have any other impacts on the game at all, mechanically or cosmetically?

Ovipositor: I can't seem to attain that one. Is it even still implemented? Or are the Avian score conditions in the wiki maybe off? I assume it has to be exactly at 4, and not above that, yes?

Hope someone can share some insight, thanks. :)

Ovipositor is related to Nyrea, an insect-like creature. Not avians.

@onepot An Ovipositor is a penis-like appendage that enables the PC to impregante NPCs with eggs.

I'm guessing what you want is the Oviposition perk, ie the ability to produce eggs with your PC's womb? I don't know if it's implemented, but if it is, you might need to do some serious savescumming.
IF it isn't, Ovilium might interest you

Hollow bones reduces player weight. Beware, player weight also factors into carry weight for hyper body parts.

Oviposition, as stated, is about growing and laying eggs via womb and vag. You need to use Ovilium to get it started while having a high enough racial score, though I've not experimented with it to see if it's fully implemented/working. Not to be confused with ovipositors, also as stated being penises or similar structures that implant eggs in others.

Hello again, thanks for the answers!

Alright, Oviposition achieved. Special thanks to Karretch! ;)
It's working alright it seems; as long as not otherwise impregnated, Steele will lay a clutch of Ovilium type eggs about once a week automatically. Not what I expected originally, as 'Oviposition' suggests to me that you impregnate other females with eggs, but anyways, mystery solved. ^^

As for Hollow Bones, yes, I am aware of what it does and of the downsides. That's why I'm asking if there are any advantages to it, because I can't think of any, but if there are, I'd like to get the perk first before modding my body to something more appealing than a bird-morph. So, any ideas on why it might be a GOOD idea to get Hollow Bones?

Sorry to hijack the thread but I have a question of my own. The oviposition perk is it tied to racial score and will it disappear if you go below that racial score?

No, once you have the perk, you keep it. :)

EDIT: Or at least, it's not tied to racial score. There might be stuff that makes you lose it, though I didn't find any mentioned anywhere. But I got the perk and didn't lose it when losing all my Avian transformations.

I'm still curious about what benefits Hollow Bones imply, too. As an avid bird-morph Steele, I've yet to see a benefit from the perk.

I don't think there ARE any real benefits. It's just another case of Etis trying to be as anatomically accurate to the RL species of his TFs as possible.
So if it was just another case that he was trying to prevent hyper stuff on the PC, the Hollow Bones perk is pretty much what succeeds in doing so, since all his TFs change you in some way so that you aren't hyper anymore.

Kinda is sucky considering the carry threshold is built around your characters weight. I don't think he really thought about that when making the perk, because that seems more like a detriment in that area than anything else. x.x

EDIT: After seeing what the perk was supposed to give (IE combat benifits), it's pretty much been rendered completely useless. I suggest save editing the perk off of you or savescumming around it so that you don't have it, because it's a complete detriment at this point.

Etis' document mentioned it was supposed to give a evasion boost & kinetic weakness, that part was probably omited during coding for obvious reasons.

Sorry if I'm dumb, but where can I find that document?

Anyways, thanks, so no Hollow Bones for me. ^^

Unfortunately this is the case with a lot of the perks. The permanent effects are too big of a nuisance and make me not want to have them when otherwise the name of the perk sounds good and I would like it to be a part of my characters identity.

I get you. I used to have a kui-tan Steele, but the Cum Cascade perk effects were extremely annoying. Only useful perk tied to a race is the flexibility one (cat-morph, I think), that imo shoulbe granted too after attending enough of Paige yoga lessons (by that reason, once I've attended 10-11 in hard mode, I always save-edit the perk in).
