Ah.
Well it's always nice to see more game projects.
it will be interesting to see how they handle combat, settlements, NPC's and roleplay.
Have you seen the Ashes of Creation RPG? They seemed to have some interesting ideas about settlements.
Essentially the map is divided into regions. Each region can have a settlement. Players bring resources to the settlement. Get enough resources and you can upgrade it. Then it has NPC's, shops, defenses, etc.
Settlements have leaders. Leaders can be chosen by election, through duels, or through spending in-game resources.
Settlements can trade with each other and players can raid each others trade convoys. Players can also siege rival settlements to take their stuff (or slaves), and reduce their size.
If settlements become large, then then prevent other settlements nearby from growing. Which gives an extra incentive to go and attack neighboring settlements.
Here's a video;
Beyond that, I'd suggest it would be useful to let players pick how dom or sub they are, and attach it to their avatar.
If you beat a dom in combat then you just take their loot, but if you beat a sub you could take them as a captive for X hours. After that time they have the option to remain as a captive, or return to their home.
