As you all may know, each level of strength increases penetration by one point, and that includes magic penetration (and penetration for tease attacks). I am wondering if this is intentional, as I find it a bit absurd that a ripped mage would cast spells that ignore more magic resistance than an out-of-shape mage.
In case this isn't intentional, since most dedicated strength builds deal damage that is mitigated by armor perhaps strength can increase armor penetration only, and have magic penetration be increased by maybe cunning? Since strength increases armor and armor pen and cunning increases magic resistance and magic pen, so there's a sort of parity. I dunno.
Thematically, I think this proposition makes intuitive sense, after all, one would expect a cunning mage to be able to work around resistance to magic, and a strong fighter can deal blows that rends armor. Unless this was all intentional, of course, in which case: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
