Simple suggestion - A place to write a paragraph of text accessible from the Appearances screen, with the ability to either add onto or replace the text that shows up in the Appearances screen describing your character. Purely for roleplay purposes, this obviously couldn't have any sort of tangible effect on gameplay, but it would be cool to be able to describe your character in your own words and have the game keep track of that.

Well idk if the devs will implement that but you can use the coc2 save editor which allows you to input words/sentences for pc's appearance (Like you can wrote down what color to describe skintone, what kind of hairstyle pc has, etc). Downside is if it has any problems after save-editing they won't fix even if it's on bug report.
yeah true, that has been my current way of doing stuff.
you can make some interesting changes that way.
giving my deerfolk female cervine eyes and a custom description of them. instead of the "unremarkable xcolor allows you to take in your sorroundings without issue"
