I had a bit of a silly idea in relation to Nakano/Hitoshi. I know Hitoshi isn't even technically interactable, and Nakano pretty much shuts you down in any form of conversation... But I would kind of like to pose a thought (and hopefully have a potential back n forth with The Observer if possible?) about after freeing Kiyoko and the kids. Obviously, depending on choices during Kinu scenes, you get one of two paths for her. And each path results in a different love interest for her. And I am one of those people that find the sorta protective father aesthetic a bit funny and entertaining. So the thought would be after talking to Kinu about her engagement, and depending on which path she's on would open some options with said husband option.
I.e. if Inari and it's Hitoshi (unsure if there's already any plans for Hitoshi interactions) have options to talk to Hitoshi and essentially do that "protective dad" thing of seeing if he's worthy of your little girl. And that thought then went down the idea of how Hitoshi is often described. In a couple dialogs, he is essentially described as a monk who is loved by nature as he tends the field. So what if you (the MC) were to challenge him in order to grasp his worth (as per variable Japanese logic and what not since this is heavily leaning on that aesthetic.) Which then further branched to having the option to train him up to be worthy in your eyes. And even thought of how some folks would say "but the MC has no formal training in bushido and various other oriental martial arts" to which I would reference monkey boi in the gym and Zo in Harvest Valley as perfect examples of getting the basics to teach. Since, y'know, the MC can learn most skills in a day or a week of dedicated training... So technically you could impart that on to Hitoshi so he could do the atypical "duty" of protecting his wife and family (again, referencing some older ideology that is still kinda heavily used in Japanese culture).
And for the Nakano side, I would probably think it would require being a Kitsune to have him actually open up to you. And since you already beat him down once, he should know he could stand to learn more from one stronger than him. I didn't really fully flesh out a thought process for this side, but that's also part of why I am posting it here for other input from players and hopefully TOBs.
