This at first glance may sound like a win but this has predictable industry ramifications.
Can't say I like the direction this is going that the costs outweigh the benefits and I'm going to have to reluctantly side with the companies ((Greedy fucks that they are right now.)) You can bet if this goes global your going to see an uptick in subscription based efforts like Stadia ((which I dislike)) and "games as a service" model ((which I hate even more...)) and could possibly even lead to the death of single player games. I can only hope now now that Valve's ((Greedy fucks that they are...)) appeal efforts wins out in the end.
