Now try and do that with a spell build :p

Seriously, big props for assembling the Ultimate Power Dunking Combo yet again, but as someone who plays as caster classes almost exclusively, seeing the damage potential of weapon based powers flaunted like that is more than a bit frustrating.

Literally nothing happens, its not intended because she will always hit/crit for a fuck load of damage.
Well, less not intended as it's not intended to be beatable at Level 6. The battle is future-proofed so the game won't break if you win (since by the time the game is done, level-grinding to the point when you're supposed to be fighting Kas will be possible) but it's not expected that you can actually do it at the current cap. Which means another look at tweaking the system, no doubt.

Only RNG in this fight will be whether you hit and crit with Dastardly Trick or not. With all our bonuses (Blessed, Sharpen Blades, Good Fortune), Dastardly Strike will have a 92% to hit and 67% to crit so there is a ~62% chance you defeat her.
Nah 62% I'd more likely to stab myself in the foot "time out or momma Kas."

Suddenly my thief feels a lot more humbled in comparison.

Also I was about to ask what Dark mode had to do with changing the outcome of the fight and then I realized you meant the difficulty level and NOT the theme.

Well now that the cat is out of the bag, I wanna point out that her holy resistance being in the negative is one of the main culprits and I'm surprised it was not looked at when this was being done with smite evil. C.petal(20 Holy) deals close to double its dmg add extra holy damage via charge weapon and bless increasing both weapon damage/ holy damage and bam pre-nerf Smite evil all over again. Stuff like this:

Damage Cap Test.png
is able to be done to all of the demons because they have -100 resistance to holy damage. Don't have a save file for a Kas fight or I would show it but I'm pretty sure you can 100% the run every time or come close to it using eviscerate instead of dastardly trick. Can also probably have Ryn "bless" you so that you can deal more damage with your sure shot if she survives.

Could also make unbreakable fall inline with the other trash ultimates and have it reduce the damage your character can do during its duration. A bit unfun but it would then be balanced.

I see that people are already rehearsing the possible final fight against Kas.

It would be so funny if this sort of thing were still possible in the finalized game. If after all of her talk and/or smugness she ends up getting cracked in half in one turn. Would be so funny if she were surprised the champion trounced her THAT fast. Or perhaps she would call the PC a cheater like in WC.

Shhhhh, you might give Savin ideas. Like, I dunno, making her fight be multi-phase and the first being scripted like the Abyssal Thing battle (and if you win she calls you a cheater) just to catch people up, while the second phase is the real fight.

At this rate Savin is gonna take the nerf hammer and a blindfold to start indiscriminately nerfing stuff.

Eviscerate isn't a 100% takedown but I do feel that using it instead of Dastardly Strike does give you better odds. As for what those odds are, you'd have to ask a smarter person than me lol. I 100% went with Dastardly Strike for this quick guide since it was easy maths. The damage Eviscerate puts out can vary greatly as seen below:
Thanks for the save file, I underestimated her evasion..by a lot. 8/12 of my runs were wins on dark difficulty so there was not that much of a difference between eviscerate and dastardly trick. Played around with item combinations mid-fight, but nothing really changed a thing drastically besides having Senninbari on to ensure survival on the first attack.

Had Senni. on before the fight, switched to champion's belt whenever Senni.'s effect went off. Having Sanctified Gladius as main hand adds a bit of extra damage when using charge weapon then switching to kunai to try and get the debuff on sure shot, then switching back to C.petal main hand and Sanc. off hand for the final attack seems like the best combination to min-max damage.

C.Petal extra 10 holy damage outperformed Sanctified Gladius on my main hand even though the latter had more total damage(+5), which goes to show how typing really affects this fight

Usually won fights if kunai landed due to twist of the knife

Always won fights if Kas did not kill my pc on her first action

Smite Evil damage is the worse of the three, if Kunai missed, kas hp sometimes came down to like 1 with the attack being a critical hit. (Did not min-max equipment for this test so it probably still works well)
