Taivra gives Normal XP, not Boss XP. This would make sense, if you got XP from Queensguard, but you don't.
(No, it doesn't just not show you getting XP, you don't get any from Queensguard if you check XP totals before and after the fight. Only Taivra counts.)
For reference, Captain Khorgan (who is also a two-stage boss fight) is flagged for Boss XP, while the Mech is Normal.
