[0.9.031-PUBLIC-ANDROID#2795] Can't level up

I reached level 4 on tarkus and went back to my ship. When I slept, the level up screen opened. I had no new stat points to allocate and I could not select my perk for level 4.

More info that may or may not be useful:
I was carrying the dong designer when I reached max experience. I got back to my ship by finding Bess and being teleported there.

There was somebody else with a similar problem last November. They'd ended up with negative Stat points to spend, somehow. I'm having trouble finding that thread, though.

I used the Cheat Menu to get enough XP to level up to 5 and was able to pick a perk for both 4 and 5. I also got 13 Stat points to spend. What happens if you level up again in your installation?

If you have a 'before' save that will end in this state, that would also probably be useful.
