After interacting with Nova from my inventory and interacting extensively through unlocking customization and going through a variety of options, returning to my inventory and attempting to exit it would replay dismissing Nova and bring me back to my inventory. I do not know what caused it and was unsuccessful reloading an autosave and attempting to replicate it.
