When equipped, the Steele Tech Survival Tent (available from Steele shop at Tarkus) turns the Tent equipment button in your inventory greyed out and unclickable:
As far as i can tell the tent is equipped and can be used from the Rest panel, but the item description and such can't be accessed from the inventory window, and it can only be unequipped by swapping it for another tent.
