At least for drinks available in Mead Hall at Mhen'ga, didn't check in other places -- if you have ongoing status effect for some particular drink, ordering another drink of this type doesn't reset the status effect duration to "full" initial value. I.e. if you have remaining 10 minutes for Mead status effect, ordering another mead doesn't reset it to 3 hours you'd normally get when you order one, it stays at 10 minutes.
