While leaving the cultist ship in Winter Wolf, if Gweyr was defeated by Leold when they fought in Hawkethorne, she speaks as though she won the fight:
The thing is, the Hawkethorne encounter was framed as Gweyr telling you what happened, so you already know Sanders is the one who "killed" Leold in this timeline, including the "ran him through" part, and Gweyr has no reason to change the story now.

Now with infinity% more save file. This is post-event but hopefully includes the relevant gamestate flags or whatever CoC2 uses.

You know the demon cult is capable of many things, but bringing the dead back to life is something beyond even Kasyrra's powers, given how she reacted to the deaths of her dragon "daughters" back at the Winter City. Did she see him die?
"I told you. He was on top of the pile of bodies the villagers had gathered. I ran him through, made sure he'd stay down."
