I am currently doing a run where I have not recruited any companions. Despite this, when on a waystone space I still have access to the Change Party button. If I select this option the game instantly freezes and has to be closed in order to progress. I have tried this at least 10 times and done it several more by accident, the freeze always happens.
I am playing on the steam version.
