Sort of continued from a thread in the Questions & Answers section.
I just made a new file, played up to the orc quest, and took both paths: allowing Benny to rampage in the camp, and getting Arona exiled and telling her not to go to Hawkethorne. In both cases, Arona showed up in the tavern after sleeping. In said earlier thread, Savin said that you could get rid of her by doing the former, and that her showing up after the latter would be a bug.
