When the main character is out of combat the party is defeated automatically.
This is illogical.
First it does not happen with enemy parties.
Secondly your companions are not sheep that cannot fight on their own, they have even shown it in the story.
Thirdly it limits your combat tactic options. With the way levelling works your main character will likely not get particularly squishy among the party members but still you cannot rely on a tough party member to finish off your enemies.
