The first VN in Ren'py that really showed me what they could do was Katawa Shoujo - very similar in feel (but overall more of a Japanese feel to it). Not a sex em up, just a very well written slice of everyday mixed with emotions...Also, the ArianeB games are both in Ren'py - Date with Ariane...

Ark Thompson has a Patreon - and his games are primarily related to this genre (and other stuff) - especially The Hunter. Also - JRPGs such as Vitamin Quest include a lot of this material...

I have been playing this on a Mac since middle of last year (I think - been awhile) and never ran into what you are seeing. The save location for me has always been within the game.app itself. I right click - show app contents, and drill down to the resources/app.nw and the save folder is...

Personally - my take is that some people like minigames, while others just see them as obstacles to progressing the game. A simple skip function for the MGs would work for all, IMHO...(hey! - I'll always try them a few times, and if I get too irritated, skip...)

I think are you asking if previous saves work? It's Ren'py - they should...on a Mac they are ubiquitous, so they are always available to try. If the game does not continue properly, there is always the option to start over and save in new slot (or write over)... If on Windows just copy and...

If you downloaded V15 you should ask at the site you downloaded it from - it wasn't here...and yes - v15 is out as v15.1 with bug fixes - as lostone2 pointed out it should be out publicly in a week or so...
