    Open a basic word editor like notepad, pop the code mentioned above in between <HTML><BODY> [extra code here] </BODY></HTML>. Save the file as a .html file to wherever you want to keep it. Then open that file in your browser. If the link path to the .swf file is correct, it should solve your issue.

    I think newbies are all still puzzling out how to integrate those tags. As we get more official content and see how the companions play out, you'll probably see people getting more confident using the companion tags more frequently and (hopefully!) with better results. :)

    How small is the file you're trying to upload? It should be about 100 x 100px; if it's smaller I have a feeling it will be stretched to fill the space, hence distorting the image. Maybe you could upload the image if you're not sure if it's the right size?

    Maybe "empowering" is too strong a word--I've been on autostraddle too much lately and it's just about the polar inverse of the Fenoxo Forums--but I getcha. I like the idea of running a loosely organized CYOA so I'll start small. Setting it more in an I Roved Out style universe than a CoC one...

    If we could rally companion authors to give a short form kink list and likely behaviors, smut scene writers could be a little more specific. It'd be nice to have a companion wiki page list personality traits and kinks all in one quick reference table.
