Race Idea - Alien aliens for the exophiles out there.

A long time ago I came up with an alien race concept I wound up doing nothing with.

TLDR you have an all female reptile-like race (kind of like how whiptail lizards IRL are all female). They are aborieal, sapient, and live in tree-top-platform cities. The best way I can describe them is a quadrupedal lizard with a longer snake-ish body, a newt-like skin pattern, six tentacles on their backs for climbing (the tentacles ends can open up to extend many small tendrils for fine-detail manipulation), a long tail ending with a small bladed stinger (functions as an ovipositor like the stingers of most wasps and bees), with a shark like mouth. They use their tentacles to operate their technology. Their clawed talons are generally speaking only for locomotion.

I called them the Ifiti, but any name will do really. Culturally I had them as a space faring race that went full into science and pretty much only cared to learn and discover, having converted their home world into a single library of most everything within 2000 LY of their home system. But again, it's just the race idea that matters.

It's not exactly everyone's idea of sexy, but plenty of people are into aliens that dont' resemble Terran life in some way. Regardless, I don't think we have a forest planet yet (jungles and forests being different and all) and every planet needs a few unique threats. Some be-tentacled lizard girls looking for egg incubators to drop on from atop the trees would be pretty good, IMO.

I'd write it if I knew people were interested. I've loved this game for years and because I'm kind of dumb I didn't know there was a community for it so I haven't really been here long and don't know how things lay.

I'm an author for my day job, and it would be fun to contribute to this game directly. How do I do that?

Note the bold. Don't do that.
Write shit because you want it in the game. Don't go entirely off public opinion because frankly it's too easy to get people saying "I'm not into it" in some degree. If you go off public opinion entirely you're not really gonna get anywhere. This applies to any sort of creativity really. (Granted, public interest helps, but I always felt that was more on the morale side of things)
You want it in the game? Yes? Good, then write it as long as it's not blacklisted and is well written.

Oh it's not that at all! I don't work on popularity, I work on utility for others. If I just want to enjoy something myself my imagination suffices. I also have lots of ideas and have several projects going on at any given time. Right now I am running 2 D&D games, porting TiTS to the Starfinder TTRPG system, and writing 2 novels. I would be happy to put something on the back burner and write some exophile porn for others... if they would enjoy it. I don't see the point in spending the time to work without at least one other person being interested in the idea. After all, I have one life and it is finite.

Personally they really don't sound like my thing. But I also find myself morbidly curious to see what an author could make of the concept. Heh if you did write it I suppose this image would sum up my stance:

Ouch. You doin' good buddy? Just do your thing at your own pace and don't rush it. I've made rushed stories and characters 'n' stuff and they never came out as well as my previous stuff.

I'm doing better, but not good. One of my two meds is working for sure, the other is either not working or needs "warm up time" to kick in properly.
