To quote the actual rules, "Cool it on your rampant murder boner"
They suck as an encounter. They bring up the bad design decision to block Steele from bringing crew mates out to fight with them. They suck as a concept. Honestly, they are just bothersome and encourage you to save and quit when they show up. Additionally, they are shitty Mary Sue characters. Also people HATE THEM. Seriously, the mines are one of the best places to make money in this game and someone's stupid, asshole idea is to add in cheeky overpowered little shits to give you grief about it. In closing to whoever is keeping them in the game: Go fuck a cactus.

Well, it looks like someone's being aggressive.

Use the flash goggles and a and a weapon with high damage, then they're easier to fight.

There is no way annoying Op bastards who rub the lack of party mechanics in your face and openly would get EATEN ALIVE if they had to fight you one on one would be popular.

They're pretty easy to get past if you know what you're doing. The trick is to take out out the odd mouse first. So if it's the FFM group, take out the male first. Female first for the MMF group.
Also, William, their writer, is a pretty nice person and really doesn't deserve the hateful drivel you're spewing.

They suck. They are not a fun encounter. They make grinding for cash annoying. They are not hard they are just unpleasant to fight. Yes I can beat them. They just make the trip to get to the end of the rock annoying. Finally, yes they deserve hate for being an irritating encounter that sucks. Seriously, they are basically what would happen if you took the damn jellyfish boss from uvento and put it as a random encounter. They need a scene where you can kick their ass for being annoying and jumping you.

Dude, they’re there for a reason, obviously you’re doing something wrong if you can’t take them on. Just reassess the situation and come at it again.

I mean, sorry the game isn't optimized for you to get free money. I will be the first other person in the thread to admit that they are annoying as fuck, cause if you knock one down they just get rezzed, and that means you should use tease to fight them, except if you are over 6 feet tall then tease decays every turn, but the characters are fun as individuals and the writing bangs. You also have the option to just blow them, and you can also run away during combat, but I get the feeling neither of those options appeal to you.

TLDR there is never gonna be an option to kill them, just hit the run button when combat starts or save your game every couple spaces, because a rare but tough enemy in the area with the highest money gain is totally intentional because you aren't supposed to fucking farm money.

The real moneymaker is Blackjack on the Rec Deck after beating the Shock Hopper. Go to the Robot Dealer and make a custom bet of all your money. Repeat until satisfied.

The Raiders also don't appear until 3 days after you've landed on Zheng Shi, and only after seeing them at Urbolg. It's easy to finish your business before then.

Also, what's your build (Class, Perks and Stats)?
