No, the number of tails stays at 2. edit: I just remembered that I got the 2nd tail from consuming a fox jewel, is that supposed to happen without meditating? Also Ayane congratulated me on getting the star sphere after meditating the first time I found the shrine and never having met her before.

How do I get more fox tails after getting the star sphere? My char is level 25 and I'm stuck on 2 tails, meditating with fox jewels only gives me a blank page, mystic jewels produce the normal meditation message as if you had nothing in your inventory. The shrine you can build in your camp has...

I agree, seeing that a 1080p monitor costs something shy of $100 nowadays I think it's safe to assume mostly everyone has a 24"or larger screen unless they use a laptop.

Would you say that there could also be the possibility of one of your captors ending up liking your character so much they would be willing to help you get your old body back?  Maybe even with a happy end for both parties involved? Probably too cheesy but I fancy that idea.
