I'm liking what I see here and I'm looking forward to how this progresses. I also have a question regarding the switching of characters? What will the other one do whenever I have switched? Like what would the brother do if I switched from him to her? 

The fighting is certainly much better now, but I think you have the battle random encounter chance set too high or whatever the actual setting is. I keep having to battle in the forest every 5-10 tiles of walking, and sometimes even just 1 to 3 tiles. It isn't that hard to kill them now, but...
