Weapon proficiency is non-standard?

To properly master Bows you need spesific training, but the player can just pick up a shotgun, a machine gun, a pistol and even a spear, and know how to use them right away. This is not fallout, but some form of weapon proficency system would not out of place, especially since teaseing has a basic proficiency system.

All that needs to be done is to create a bunch of flags that can be added to weapons (Such as Heavy weapon, Concealed weapon, Shotgun, Large melee, Small melee) and assign each one a short skill tree.

You don't need specific training fow bows. It is just general aim stat training without special stat.

 and even a spear,

spears are literally the most simple weapon to use, like they were given to the indentured peasants in armies for the very reason that you just point the pointy end at the enemy and push it at them.

I'd rather see the (IMO dumb) teasing proficiency go than start restricting people from using certain weapons for ~reasons~. At worst, maybe stat-cap certain weapons -- like you can't tote around a laser minigun without X Physique to go with it (which means Mercs are the only ones liable to use it).

Lust combat in this game feels underdeveloped compared to shooting things, which is weird. I'd be in favour of seeing tease proficiencies die.

It's not surprising if you take into account that:

1)Lust Combat is much harder to balance.

2)It has precisely one dedicated class ability and it's quite hard to come up with options that would make sense.

3)Almost everything that buffs PC's lust options is tied to TFs, parasites, or Treatment/Dumbfuck.

4)PSI is yet to come.

1) Why?

2) We have a ton of enemies with lust-based attacks, and we can't come up with a set for Steele? Various lust-venom weapons seem obvious.

3) AKA "It isn't currently supported well", which was the point.

4) But PSI isn't necessary.

4) But PSI isn't necessary.

1) Much smaller 'health pool' and heavily randomized damage.

2) Current class system seems to exist in a parallel dimension to the Lust Combat, since focusing on seducing your foes doesn't fit into the archetypes for any of them. So without introducing a new class, I don't see many options for lust combat coming from there.

All lust weapons that had been introduced so far ended up being extremely OP.

3) More like 'all variety outside of basic system exist for catering to a set number of specific fetishes'.

4) While dance systems you and NS are doing will no doubt add variety to and increase effectiveness of lust combat, Spess Magik is where it's at IMO. I'm super biased though, so nvm.

1) I don't understand why so many monsters have the default 100-size lust pool. I mean, the Inhuman Desire perk already lets the PC have a larger lust pool - why can't other people have that ability as well?

Secondly, damage randomization is something that's programmed into the game. Part of making lust combat viable would probably involve reducing this problem.

2) I'll buy it for Mercenary, but Smuggler could definitely develop a 'dashing, charismatic rogue' archetype, while 'Tech Specialist' is just begging for sexbots, lewd holograms, etc, etc. I mean, we already have a programmable hover-pussy in the game.

Secondly - IMO, lust weapons have been OP so far because attention hasn't been paid to appropriate 'lust tanking' for monsters - see 'most everything has the default 100 lust bar'.

3) AKA, 'The basic system is underdeveloped save where it would serve someone's boner.' AKA 'how TiTs development generally works, because this is a smut game.'

4) I think the dance system is a really good start, but as you've said, the Lust Combat system needs more than just that in order to be a viable & interesting playstyle.

1) I wholeheartedly agree with giving opponents larger Lust cap (with or without drawbacks PC has to suffer to get it) where applicable. It will help with making lust damage dealing weapons more balanced and to make a gradual difficulty curve for encounters when in comes to wining by lust, instead of current 'either roflstomp or no sell' situation. However, as with any obvious idea that has not been implemented so far, the devs must have their reasons for not doing so.

2) Can't come up with any actual abilities that 'dashing and charismatic' smuggler would have, especially since TiTS doesn't have Charisma stat and if we use Sexiness, then it would basically be Tease.

Tech Specialist has even greater problem than other classes when it comes to distinguishing between what should be abilities and what should be equipment. I'd love to things you've describe, but I'm not sure about making them abilities, or even class-specific. In any case, Drone Specialist will have some utility options based on equipped drone, including lust attacks.

All in all, I think that adding more class-based lust options would fit better into something like this instead of current two-options-per-level system.

All in all, I think that adding more class-based lust options would fit better into something like this instead of current two-options-per-level system.

1) Fundamentally, I think the issue is that regular combat is based on many stats (Accuracy, Crit, Damage, Damage of different types, uses of Physique/Intelligence/Agility, etc), while Tease is based wholly on Sexiness.

This feels out of place in a smut game: I'd expect the lust combat to have more stats than the physical combat, not the other way around. If nothing else, Tease could stand to gain '+Accuracy' and '+Crit' stats, to go along with the '+Damage' stat that Sexiness currently is.

(Note: TiTs is a porn game, and as a result Fen & Co want to keep 'Spam Tease' as a viable option against random encounters - and I more-or-less agree with that design. Still, I think there's something to be said for being able to do more and different lewd things in combat.)

2) Again, we're coming back to 'having only one stat that governs lust combat is insufficient.'

As for 'Tech Specialist is a weird class' - That's a separate issue, IMO.

In CoC lust was sort of percent rather than absolute. Higher level characters as well as foes had flat resistance.
