If you could add any gun of your design what would it be called and what would it do?

Deckard's gun from Blade Runner, modified into an energy weapon.

Should be called the DKD-82. (DecKarD, and the movie was released in 1982.)

How about a gun blade? Automatically takes your melee and ranged slot but you look badass as hell (or maybe just really really stupid)

Expanding on that idea. An energy rifle that can switch modes and emit a lightsaber beam from the barrel.

Personally I am a customization whore so I would want an ultra-modular weapon that could go grenade launcher/wide gauge shotgun & assault rifle/designated marksman rifle

Anti material rifles! ENERGY Anti material rifles!

I have been using the useless bolt action rifle since it is the only thing that comes close to an Anti-mat rifle.

Also. Railguns. Huge railguns.

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Redeemer  imo i'd prefer it not having to be complicated as choosing a mode, rather have both modes at once, something similar in design like this link. as for a rail-gun, i'd be interested in seeing what comes of it.

as for what gun(s) i'd want, armor/cover penetrating shotguns or sniper rifles, love me some heavy hitting weapons. also a high rate of fire and magazine smg (coat the small fry in a hail of bullets). kinetic weapons are just so sexy to me

I'm unoriginal so: the Peacemaker from Jak 2.

It takes a turn to charge but it does some rad psi or electric damage.

Or just the Morph Gun in general, but I have no idea how maddening it would be to code that.

Misread that as Pacemaker and had the great idea of a set of Defibrillators as weapons.

I want a heavy beam rifle/cannon. Gundam Virtue's Wave Motion Tuning Fork comes to mind and is what I'd really want but Wing Gundam's Buster Cannon or some sort of Charged Particle Gun would be good as well.

I would like a device that deployed 1 or more robots that fought beside you, and when their health drops low enough, charge into the enemy and self-destruct. Basically the Agents of Doom and Mr. Zircon from the Ratchet & Clank series.

I'd love something called the XAR.

It's an ancient Terran weapon: a TAR-21 fitted with an M320 40mm grenade launcher and a simple reflex sight. To make this weapon truly distinct: as long as it's equipped Steele would be given an ability to fire a 40mm grenade that has a chance to A) fire a 40mm grenade that deals 5 damage to a single target; B) fire a 40mm grenade 2 damages to plural type enemies involved; or C) fire a 40mm grenade that doesn't detonate on impact at all. After the grenade launcher ability has been used, it will be on cooldown for 3 turns.

It would be pretty nice to include a new combat mechanic, isn't it?

A modern 40mm grenade has an explosive radius of nearly 5meters... and is liable to kill nearly anything inside that blast radius (range and damage increases if you're using shrapnel rounds). Who knows how powerful the ones in the future will be. Though to be fair, I have no idea how you end up not killing things with lava sabers and bullets either way... On a related note, 40mm grenades have an arming distance, which is typically a minimum of 10 meters, to prevent a derpy soldier from killing himself, so you can't fire it at the typical "combat range" in game. On another related note, the grenade itself is fired at a velocity of 75m/s, so even getting hit by a dud grenade is gonna hurt real bad. I'm a military geek don't hate me ><

I was more upset it had to be on an AR. I want an AK with a grenade mount.

I'd love to see an energy based bow to keep them relevant for the tech specialist (What can I say? I'm a sucker for bows >_>).

I think this could be achieved this by combining a small graphite bomb a secondary EMP charge. The arrow shaft could be made of woven graphite filaments with a small primary charge (just enough to spread them around) set to activate on impact. Then after a tiny delay for the graphite to cover a small area the EMP (inside the former shaft during flight?) fires and runs current around inside the cloud. If shield tech doesn't stop relatively slow-moving graphite filaments it would probably wreak havoc on the shield and target at the same time, and if it does it ends up with the full charge running across conductive material draped over the shield exterior.

Alternately you could build on the idea of an electrolaser. Drawing the bowstring could spin up the LIPC and assuming you aimed prior to drawing (or if the LIPC was activated via a button on the bowshaft) releasing could just run a charge down it to the target. Beyond "future tech is magic" I'm not sure how you scale down the power requirements and output to where it'll consistently work in various atmospheric conditions (and without probably outright killing most things?).

I may be overthinking this.

I just want a Beam Rifle shaped like a Bow basically.
