As it goes. A lot of time has passed since the last one was made, so I'm sticking here and doing a special list for each class, with, in my opinion, the best equipment.

-Armor:
Frostbane Mail: 10 Defense, 7 Evasion, 20 Fortification. 33% Freezing resistance.
or
Weavemail Coat: 9 Defense. 17% Freezing resistance.
Honestly, this thing should get a boost. Best one if you want to let the dragon creature live.

-Melee Weapon:
Plasma tomahawk: 27 Damage (12 Kinetic +15 Burning), 1 Accuracy, 1 Crit bonus.
or
Frozen spire (spear): 28 Damage (16 Kinetic + 12 Freezing) 10 Accuracy

-Ranged Weapon:
Saumorian Railgun: 41 Damage (41 Kinetic), 7 Accuracy, -3 Evasion, Cannot crit.
or
Stormbull Shotgun: 35 Damage (35 Kinetic), 18 Accuracy, -6 Evasion.

-Shield:
Prototype Pirate Shield: -3 Evasion, 200 Shield, 30% Kinetic Resistance, -50% Electric weakness, 15% Burning Resistance

-Accessory:
Myr Greatcoat: +5 HP, 3 Sexyness, 35% Freezing Resistance.
or
Lightning Duster: 60% Electric Resistance.

-Armor
Gemstone links: 0 Defense, 10 Sexyness, 11 Evasion
or
Armstrong Premium Suit: 0 Defense, +20 Shields, 6 Sexyness, 8 Evasion

-Melee weapon
Nyrea's queen spear: 20 Damage (20 Kinetic), 5 Accuracy, 9 Crit bonus, 6 Evasion.
or
Plasma tomahawk: 27 Damage (12 Kinetic +15 Burning), 1 Accuracy, 1 Crit bonus.

-Ranged weapon:
Modded Arc Caster: 25 Damage (25 Electric) 5 Accuracy, 8 Crit bonus.
or
Hardlight Bow: 22 Damage (22 Kinetic), 2 Accuracy, 4 Evasion.

-Shield:
Mark I Shield: 3 Defense, 115 Shield, 45% Kinetic Resistance, -50% Electric weakness.

-Accesory:
Explorer's cloak: 1 Defense, 8 Evasion
or
Light jetpack: 10 Evasion

-Armor
Steele Tech Suit: 0 Defense, +15 Shields, 2 Sexyness, 2 Evasion, 30% Electric and Burning. Resistance
or
Armstrong Premium Suit: 0 Defense, +20 Shields, 6 Sexyness, 8 Evasion.

-Melee Weapon
Tweaked Lava Saber: 19 Damage (5 Kinetic + 14 Burning), 2 Evasion, +15 Shields.
or
Plasma tomahawk: 27 Damage (12 Kinetic +15 Burning), 1 Accuracy, 1 Crit bonus.

-Ranged Weapon
Apollo Plasma Rifle: 29 Damage (29 Burning), 4 Accuracy.
or
Modded Arc Caster: 25 Damage (25 Electric) 5 Accuracy, 8 Crit bonus.

-Shield
Prototype Pirate Shield: -3 Evasion, 200 Shield, 30% Kinetic Resistance, -50% Electric weakness, 15% Burning Resistance

-Accessory
Myr Greatcoat: +5 HP, 3 Sexyness, 35% Freezing Resistance.
or
Tam-Wolf 2.0

To adress lust-based builds, those are the best weapons, pick the best for you melee/ranged build

-Melee Weapon
Widow's Kiss: 17 Damage (17 Kinetic), 6 Lust (6 Tease), 5 Crit bonus, 5 Evasion, 5 Sexyness.

-Ranged Weapon
Bimboleum Emitter: 8 Lust (8 Tease), 3 Crit bonus.
or
Royal Shard bow: 6 Lust (6 Drug), 2 Accuracy, 4 Crit bonus, 6 Evasion.

Suggestions and corrections are welcome.

The Ice shard spear you get from Tuuva actually outclassed the Plasma Hawk. Better damage and accuracy. The Burning DoT isn't worth it, trust me.

If you're just basing optimization around the combat stat that best suits class, ranged for smuggler would be hardlight bow with +4

Atma Armor mk1 is worth considering for Tech Specalist, as it offers immunity to many types of lust attack whereas the Tech Specalist generally suffers little from its lack of raw defensive value. Nova is a good sidegrde, offering sexiness for a lust resistance/weakness cost.

From what I’ve seen, the shield defense ssystems are around the same level as Tamwolf (low), so you can generally ignore them. I use Greatcoat for sexiness or Goggles for Blind immunity most of the time. Jet pack is also worth a nod. Ironically, the Tech is least likely to need the lightning duster, as Techs’ shields don’t carry weaknesses that they otherwise would have.

Okay noted that. I'm gonna make variants to optimize to represent better both ranged and melee builds.

Suggestions for a Meelee weapon for Smugglers?

For Smugglers, the Queen Nyrean Spear has the same 6 evasion as the Hardlight Dagger but more Crit at 9, an Accuracy of 5, and more damage at 20. (Though your probably wielding these as stat sticks and not weapons. Additionally, the Modded Arc Caster sacrifices damage verses the Hirudo Devourer for more Crit and Accuracy and no negative modifiers.

Okay, updated the Ice Spear stuff. Hmm, that weapon should have the 'Penetrating' flag. Anyways, those are the current sets, with an option to regard each respective build (ranged/melee).

None of those adress lust items, tho.

Note: Thanks for the reference. Moments before you posted it, I got the item from Tuuva and made the proper edits :v

About the tomahawk/spear damage it's almost the same, but the hawk has a bit more edge due both the DoT effect and the high critical chance. Now, if the ice spear had the 'penetrating' flag, things would favor it over the hawk.

The 'spire' has also more kinetic damage, so it gets the most from the 'Low Tech solutions' perk.

About the accuracy bonus, believe me, you'll miss more often than that, and the stunlock isn't that frequent. Maybe RNGesus has favored you, so you stun more and miss less than the average.

Does someone knows another Shield worth using? By now, the Mark I trumps everything.

I will argue about best merc weapon, saumorian hammer deals more damage and has bigger crit bonus, might be less accurate, but I somehow didn't have problem with that. But I guess you went with something requirong less effort to get.

As I said, I've been testing the tree items (Spear, Hammer and Tomahawk) and the Hammer dealt the least cummulative damage, due the accuracy penalty. Sadly, the stun bonus didn't make up for that. The Spear and the Tomahawk are more or less tied on that regard, with the Spear being slightly better.

For tech I like the Vanquishers hand cannon, the 10 crit comes into play more frequently than burn I feel.

Edit: nevermind, the + to energy weapons perk still makes the Apollo better.

Honestly I have found melee shield tech specialist are really good. As the tech specialist melee ability lasts for the entire battle and applies to any hits aka normal double strike attack. It completely destroys anything that isn't flying (wish tech specialist had a lunge equivalent) faster than anything else I have used. To the point that the frost wrym can be taken down without my shields going below half reducing to a quarter or less if I use the shield restore over time ability.

I use the Premium Armstrong Suit, Mark 1 Shield, Plasma Tomahawk (3 damage types with ability active so never resisted.), Hirudo devourer (healing if shields somehow go down), and either jetpack just for a better chance for shields to regen (18% I think) and either the Myr Greatcoat or Tamwolf 2.0 if I feel like it. All stats are maxed by this point.

I go for style over function, but I haven't regretted it yet. I have the E.Vamp Blade and Shock Bow. Still trying to decide if I'd rather use Steele Tech Suit or Weavemail Dress, and the Corset and Stockings or HL Bra and Thong. Oh, I'm Tech Specialist, melee focus.

Nice to see someone else going style over function as well :p I usually make all my characters naked, simply because exhibitionism (*unf*)... Maybe one of those seethrough thongs in case I need to go back to Tavros at some point.

It's kinda sad that you need to be clothed to get a sexyness bonus though, since for a lot of the clothes that have a high sexyness rating, I personally do not find them sexy at all (like the Maid costume)
