Yo man you actually described my character without a tail and ears, along with my need to save every slave I see, I now have to save my doppleganger

I'd like the option to kick Anfisa's ass.

Ditto, but maybe and encounter after you save Jane, seeing as how it's dangerous when you're trying to take her away from Anfisa

Yeah, or you could do what Misty said and just make her pure and non-moddable. Although if you do take misty's advice, I would suggest erasing any mention of mods for her. Because i feel if you don't people will start to ask and pester, "why can't we mod her, why is she resistant to mods she's not a simii. etc". It's your choice though.

I'm gonna elect to go with what Misty said and just say I'm not adding X mod because I don't want to. That was essentially my attitude before, but I was trying to be nice about it.

Alright cool. I just hope that her character turns out to be really good.

Do this.

Also what Misty said across the board, really.

Basically, Jane is interesting more for her backstory and her being a human at all than her potential for being changed. Humans, as it has been noted, are getting very rare on the ground. Not to mention she is a perfect example of a cautionary tale about how Steele's life could end if he didn't have the incredibly broad support umbrella provided by daddy's company.

If you want your character to be pure human, go for it. She is your creation and as such you know her best.

A thought occurred to me after going over the doc just now, shouldn't the PC be able to get more details about Jane before purchasing her? Or even be able to just take the collar off right after money exchanges hands? I'm not sure what you've got planned but those are the things that came to mind most readily.

Also that hard personality variant text feels way too lolevil.

25,000 credits..

That's... really expensive for what we're getting don't you think? I'm all for getting slaves out of their messes as soon as I see them, but you can't expect someone to afford that current sum you got on the doc do you? On a starter planet of all places where you probably aren't gonna have a lot of money from the get go without doing some work.
I agree ,the highest you can get on  Mhen'ga is 15,000 and that's only after you defeat Dane, claim the pod and the ore deposit

I disagree, I feel like it'd be cool to see something currently out of your reach in the early game, only to go back for it later once you've gotten far enough/gotten enough credits, really adds to the feel of progress.

Yeah, maybe, but 25k was ridiculous, I just didn't really realize that when I wrote it initially. Even as an established character, that's stupid pricey.

I just didn't realize it, again(Because I'm a filthy save editing wizard)

Not really, I mean, Reaha's a pretty cheap slave only because she's worked off a decent amount of her debt, having a slave 5 times her cost. So Jane could be a bit more pricey, it wouldn't really hurt.

Ultimately prices in TiTS correlate to how late game the content is meant to be. So her pricing should be in relation to how soon you want the player to get her. 25,000 is too much for early planet content.

Well if JimT would not leave us we would have sooner or later Milky Forest expansion that req. PC to be around 6-7 lvl to beat miniboss blocking way to this next area so...putting Jane with such huge price could give reason to return later when we got credits. As for now there is little reasons to return to most planets we jsut finished during storyline. And for Mhen'ga when Syri will be moved to Uveto...then form point of getting some other profits than repeat sex scenes will be close to 0 reasons to go back.

Yeah, already brought up all of these points on the doc. I get that she's supposed to be *cough* plain, but if the PC could ask her to speak for herself a bit in the initial encounter, that would make a difference. A way for PCs to be kind to her in any shape or form would also stroke a lot of knight-in-shining-armor boners.

I don't think there's anything wrong with putting a few things on early planets that encourage players to come back. Mhen'ga already has the Milky Forest region and will shortly have a dungeon aimed at level 6-7, so there's plenty of precedent to make her fairly pricey. I think 25k is too much, but Franks would be within his rights to bump it up from 5 if he chose.

Hell I could see a lot of pcs wanting to buy the girl, then toss her their shield belt or send her into cover and shoot the slaving piece of shit.

That options looks like the ones for non-hard one PC. Would would in your opinion do hard PPC? Well i think shotting that puppy down...umm jsut shoot down her without carring if Jane is in line of fire? Cuz s/he is asshole anyway xD

EDIT: Woops I not even noticed it was my 3k post ^^ Damn that time fly so fast :D

Hard PC might be more willing to just shoot her because they're thinking that the slaver chick thinks that they won't shoot because of the hostage so it would be a surprise attack. To which Jane might just be a bit peeved about as she was in the line of fire when the slaver gets put down.

Yeah that would much like hard PC. Like him/her be all like: you think I not gonna shoot you cuz there is someone between us? You thought wrong *sounds of whatever range weapon PC have*. Sadly poor Jane could be then by accident collateral damage. I think still PC would not try just shoot no matter how much Jane was inbetween PC and Ausar cuz PC still would want take her as slave back to the ship so by then finding someone to give her medical treatment would cost too much. Oh wait that hard PC - would jsut try found some spare credits on that dead Ausar ^^ Ok so trouble solved and PC can shoot without carring of consequences (ups I think such possible bloody scene will not pass FenCo judgment - that still porn not some gore game :/ ).

Just posting to say that Jane is still being worked on. I'm getting through her sex scenes now, but progress is slow. She's not abandoned, though.

Finally finished the first sex scene!

Added a bunch of comments to the scene. Also feel like there is room for considering how Jane will react to PCs with tits of various cup sizes as they would be a factor in some of the action going on here.

I added some comments of my thoughts on the Doc (that were resolved, it seems). However, to put it succinctly, I don't see the point of Jane. What does writing her add to the game? You can write whatever you want of course, and I realize this is a work in progress. That does not increase the chances of getting into the game if it's not relevant or consistent. Her personality does not sound like a former slave (too carefree based on her talk scenes) while her interactions are too shallow to be a companion. She fulfills no fetishes other than being pure, and her background doesn't mesh well since it relies on a 2nd character, Anfisa; you already have some people wishing they could kick her ass bring justice on her. I don't mean to sound like I'm shooting your idea down, I noticed the topic was also brought up several times in previous posts.

tl;dr It's an interesting premise to be sure, but Jane needs a LOT of work to become a companion. Since her introduction is based on an event in the first place, I suggest she be made into a one-time event instead.

So, my computer just kicked the bucket, and I lost two scenes I was writing for Jane.

As such, she's on hiatus, at least until I get my laptop repaired.

Remember that you can always get the data off the hard drive by installing it in another computer, or using a SATA to USB cable.

I think the hard drive is the problem, but it's being diagnosed in the computer shop so we'll see.

In the meantime, I'm writing another character via my phone. Not a follower this time. I think I bit off more than I could chew with Jane being a follower, though I still plan on finishing her once I have my laptop back.
